The core component of CTNS 2030 is the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The objectives are to develop a society where no one is left behind. The SDGs include poverty reduction, common prosperity for all and protection against climate changes. The means used for realization of SDGs in CTNS 2030 is defined as effective use of science-technology-innovation advances. Here the science-technology-innovation are one of the main driving actors to promote economic growth and prosperity with central roles to achive numerous sustainable development goals. The roles of science-technology-innovation are emphasized particularly in Goal 9 and Goal 17 of CTNS 2030. Science-technology-innovation provide also strong potentials for achievement of all the other sustainable development goals. Implementing the international commitments, by 10 May 2017, the Prime Minister of Vietnam signed Decision No. 622/QD-TTg to promulgate the National Action Plan for CTNS 2030. The Plan gets drawn up on basis of CTNS 2030.
