Abstract

So far, there have been relatively few studies in Vietnam on the nature of the economic diffusion of technology in general and high technology in particular for socio-economic development. This article applies the concept of “national absorptive capacity” to analyze the characteristics of the four pillars of agricultural high-tech absorptive capacity of Bac Kan Province, thereby identifying the province's readiness for economic diffusion of agricultural hi-technologies. Finally, the article proposes some initial institutional measures to promote economic diffusion of agricultural hi-technologies in Bac Kan province.
